Our 4th of July

5:50 AM

Our 4th was great! We started out with dinner with friends. We then went to a local parking lot and set up camp, including beach umbrellas, lawn chairs, and a cooler. We set up about 3 hours early to get a good spot. We were surprised to see a lot of our other friends setting up along with us. I'm here to tell you, if you've never grilled in the parking lot of HHGregg, you don't know what you're missing!

Once we were set up, more friends came in and joined us. Two of them play guitar, so they played and sang for the group. The kids were running around blowing bubbles, throwing Frisbees, eating hot dogs, and just having a great time. We did miss our own kids, but they were off doing their own thing. That happens when they grow up, so cherish every minute while you can!!!!!

As the day faded, the anticipation of the fireworks was obvious. Jesse started his traditional "Big Band" CD, filled with appropriate 4th of July tunes. This was a nice touch! Then the show began. It was 20 minutes of spectacular colors, booms, and light. The excitement on everyone's faces was as spectacular as the show itself. Our fireworks show (hosted by the city of Douglasville) was almost canceled, due to budget constraints, but was saved by Greystone Power. THANK YOU Greystone!!!

So, having thoroughly enjoyed this years celebration, we begin our preparation for next years event. We will continue celebrating independence daily and thanking our soldiers for allowing us to do so. You may not support the war, but you can still support the soldier!!!!!!

About Us

My Photo
Ken Harper
Amber started the company by perfecting her candles and melts. The boss spoke and I started researching soap and bath products. I had no idea of the benefits of handmade! The more I read, the more I was intrigued with the overall process and benefits. We keep our products as natural and pure as possible. The waxes and oils were carefully chosen, so you get the very BEST. Our candles are hand poured, one at a time. Our soaps are specially formulated and poured batch by batch.
